One squirt only. The drawing is to be sure it is actually all in exactly the same place. Let the spray air dry. Don't contact it in any way. It may take up to one/two hour to dry. When absolutely dry put your patch on. It will eventually adhere nearly flawlessly and it will not likely try to eat the skin with irritation as was the situation I have.
